Sheffield
Eat/Drink
The Broadfield - AMAZING PIES. That's all that needs to be said... apart from that the rest of the food and drink is also really good too.
The Steamyard - if you've never had a cronut before (a cross between a doughnut and a croissant), this is where you need to go. The coffee is also great.
Picture House Social - deep in the heart of the old Abbeydale Picture House, this hybrid bar offers up an ever changing cocktail menu, some of the best pizza in the city, a games room and even a small cinema.
Kelham Island Area - there's so much to see and do around this area. Whether drinking in some of the best pubs in the city, or just drinking in the industrial architecture, the area around our wedding venue is definitely worth exploring. There are loads of great places to eat and it's probably the nicest part of the River Don you'll find.
Bahji Shop - authentic tasting Indian food with a Western twist.
Two Steps - the best fish and chips away from the seaside. Maybe even the best ever.
The Harley - home of Twisted Burger (as well as a stall at The Moor Market), if you're still here on the Sunday you need to get yer sen there and try their Moist Maker burger! Actually, all of their burgers are incredible and they have a really good vegan selection.
See/Do
The Peak District - stunning countryside less than 30 minutes outside of the city. There's lots to see in the Peak District; there are some fantastic walks, great pubs and some lovely picnic spots.
Weston Park (and museum) - a lovely park and a nice museum with stuff to interest kids and adults.
Winter Garden - the largest urban glasshouse in Europe, filled with thousands of plants & flowers from around the world. It also connects to the Millennium Galleries art gallery and is close to some of the best cafes.
The Showroom cinema - if you find yourself with an extra evening, the Showroom is a really nice independent cinema showing interesting films. It has a great cafe and bar too!
The Antiques Quarter - if you're in need of a low-key activity on the day after, this would be our top pick. There are loads of great shops to mooch around. Hey, guess what? There are also some great cafes in this part of town!
